What is Methodism?

The Methodist Church is a Christian church that was founded by John Wesley.

Methodists respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and live out discipleship in worship and mission. The Methodist Church wants every person to know they are valued and that God’s love is inclusive for all people.

Members of Methodist churches are called to:

Worship within local churches, including sharing in Holy Communion and praying.

Learning and caring through meeting for fellowship and Bible study. This helps members to grow in faith and support others in their discipleship.

Service by being a good neighbour in the community, challenge injustice and use resources to support the Church in its mission in the world

Evengelism through working out their faith in daily life and sharing Christ with others.
